Thailand Retirement Visa (Non-Immigrant OA / OX)

Long-stay visas for retirees aged 50+, from 1 to 10 years.

Thailand offers two types of long-stay visas, OA and OX, catering to retirees and individuals seeking an extended stay or long-term visas, typically for stays of 1 to 10 years. Both visas come with unique benefits and requirements:

Non-Immigrant OA Visa

  • Designed for retirees aged 50 years and above.
  • Allows a one-year stay in Thailand with the possibility of yearly renewal.
  • Prohibits employment while in Thailand.

Non-Immigrant OX Visa

  • Aimed at retirees from specific countries.
  • Offers a longer validity period of up to 10 years (initial 5 years, extendable by another 5 years).
  • Includes additional privileges like reduced financial reporting requirements and expedited processing.

Both visa types ensure an extended, comfortable stay in Thailand, making them popular choices among retirees worldwide.

  • Thailand Elite Visa: 5–20 year membership with VIP privileges, priority immigration, and airport services.
  • Non-Immigrant O Visa: Short-term visa for visiting family or retirement, extendable into a retirement extension at a Thai immigration office.
